Still No “Proof of Life”

Thursday, November 14th 2024 was the day those of us who love my sister, Aminat Soboyede, thought we would receive proof that despite not seeing nor hearing from her literally since February 22nd this year, she was at least alive and that we would at least get to hear from her.

That was the date listed on the Collin County website as the “Second Announcement” proceeding in her ongoing matter in that County.  It was even indicated on the same website regarding that proceeding for “Def to call in”, with regards to my Sister, Aminat Soboyede, from whom no family member, friend or other acquaintance had heard since the day of her arrest in Collin County, Texas, on February 22nd this year (2024).

Even though she wouldn’t be in Court that day for the proceeding (since the online Collin County records said “Def to call in”), there was at least hope that my Sister’s voice would be heard during the so-called “Call in”, organized by those within the County who ensured, and continue to ensure, she would literally be kept away from her dear family members and friends these past nine months (since February 22nd).

It was not to be. My Dad attended—or at least attempted to attend—the supposed “Second Announcement” proceeding at the Collin County Courthouse at the appointed date and these were his words in response to an enquiry about what happened that day in / near the 296th District Court courtroom at the Collin County, Texas, Judicial Center:

I got there a few minutes after 9 am; then I went to the Courtroom and spoke

with the Sheriff’s deputy about my being able to observe the “Second

Announcement”, principally due to the fact that my daughter was scheduled to “call-

in”.  The Sheriff’s deputy became noticeably hostile at this time. He told me

dismissively (what I already knew) that the “Second Announcement” was

not a public hearing by the Judge, so I had no prerogative to be allowed to witness

the proceedings. Then he told me to “sit outside”.  I did, for close to an hour. Later I

went into the ante-room of the Courtroom, hoping the “court-appointed attorney” for

my daughter would be there and would have started the proceedings with the

prosecutor. When I got there I saw only the prosecutor who, within a few seconds

of seeing me, said “I saw you the last time (that was at the so-called “First

Announcement” that held last October) and you know I can’t tell you anything”.

Then, almost immediately, the Sheriff’s deputy appeared behind me, stood at the

door and beckoned to me (like an errant kid) to come towards him; then he told me

very sternly and loudly (a very humiliating experience) that I

couldn’t be in that Room and that I had to (again!) “sit outside”. That was when I

realized there was no intention to allow me into the room to at least witness the

supposed process of my daughter “calling in”. I then decided to leave the

Courthouse. That was at about 10 am.

I will now make the following observations about my Sister’s case, even though I’ll also quickly admit my quite limited knowledge of this legal scenarios here.

So my elder Sister, an adult, is arrested for a drug offence. She (my Sister) also has a history of mental health issues which were definitely caused by or at least aggravated by her use of illegal drugs.  Then very soon after her arrest in Collin County, Texas, certain officials in the Court and public safety systems in that County visibly orchestrated (see the earlier postings on this page) certain moves to declare my VERY VULNERABLE Sister (due to her mental health status, which she refused to address before her arrest) “indigent” and “homeless”.  It is on this premise they have claimed for more than 9 months now (since my Sister’s arrest on February 22nd 2024) that she is an adult who “no longer wants to speak” to any family member (including me, her Sibling, and our parents)!

Such nonsense!!

If she “doesn’t want to speak” to her family members, what about friends she’s made from childhood in the state of Minnesota since January 2001, when my Dad first brought her (my Sister) and our Mum to the United States? Those ones, and other acquaintances, have also not heard from my Sister literally since February 22nd, 2024, the day of her arrest in Collin County, Texas.

I must observe that it’s quite difficult to put calls through to your friends (and even family members) when your three phone sets were deactivated by still-unknown persons immediately or right after the Judicial and, er, public safety organs of a very large, metropolitan County in Texas MISCHIEVOUSLY decided on your behalf that you were “homeless” and “indigent”!!

It is getting more difficult not to believe the ongoing “prosecution” of my Sister is merely a smokescreen or charade meant to cover-up what really happened—or is happening—to her (my Sister), beginning from the actions of the Collin County Magistration Judge and the Collin County Sheriffs Office way back in February this year when my Sister was literally disappeared, up until now. Many who have been following my Sister’s saga simply do not believe she is still alive nor is in a position to exercise her freewill wherever she is being kept (in most likelihood against her will).   My Dad’s experiences this past November 14th during my Sister’s supposed “Second Announcement” proceeding scheduled for the Collin County, Texas courthouse certainly reinforce such beliefs.

Again, how do the authorities of Collin County, Texas defend against increased speculations they are actually running a SEX TRAFFICKING OPERATION meant to keep adult, attractive young women (maybe men also) away from members of their families and loved ones, with the “explanation” that such persons are “adults” (even the very impaired ones with mental health issues, like my Sister) who “no longer want to speak with” members of their families.  Meanwhile, no member of the families of such young adults actually gets to see them or hear from them.

What is happening to those young adults in the meantime, while only the authorities of Collin County that disappeared them in the first place gets to “know their whereabouts”? Do they exercise pressure on such young adults to change their religion—under duress of course? Or to change their assigned sex at birth or gender, in a warped and utterly illegal exercise of the state’s so-called “Police Power”, especially when such is done when the young, er, adult person is impaired or otherwise lacks capacity to consent to those steps or actions?

It is equally clear that those who disappeared the young adults in this situation actually want their victims (my Sister being one of those victims) to be FORGOTTEN, by those family members and loved ones the County claims the young adult that is disappeared prefers “not to see or speak with again”.  Since February 22nd when my Sister literally disappeared into this rabbit-hole of suspected SEXUAL / HUMAN TRAFFICKING orchestrated by the authorities of Collin County, my Dad and Mum have literally spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to unravel the “mystery” of what has happened / is happening to my Sister. This is just within the last 10 months.

How many families of those other persons trapped in this system orchestrated by the judicial and public safety authorities of Collin County can afford those monies? The vast majority probably cannot, especially since those who fit those profiles (addicted to drugs, battling mental health issues, etc.) usually come from, well, indigent backgrounds where paying thousands of dollars to lawyers, private investigators, etc. to unravel the “mystery” of a disappeared family members is a luxury that can only be imagined, not afforded.

I will note at this point that on the Collin County Judicial website, an “Announcement Last Pass” proceeding has been scheduled in my Sister’s matter, for Friday, December 13th, 2024, at the Collin County, Texas, courthouse.

UPDATE ON THE “GUARDIANSHIP ATTORNEY FROM HELL” (AND OTHER ONGOING NIGHTMARES…)

The Complaint my Dad filed against the Guardianship attorney “from hell” with the State Bar of Texas is still being considered by that body. My Dad has received an acknowledgment they received his complaint. As I’ve also previously said, my Dad is taking further legal steps that we all hope and pray will lead to freeing my dear Sister from the clutches of those who FALSELY claim to love her more than her own parents and Siblings. Updates will be provided on those steps as they become available.

In addition, the Complaint my Dad lodged with the authorities of the Collin County Jail (which is controlled and run by the Office of the Collin County Sheriff) about the staff of the Jail that contacted him (my Dad) on ‘phone while my Sister was held in the Jail over the weekend of Saturday, February 24th and Sunday, February 25th, has been received by the Jail and acknowledged to my Dad.  There is no further information about any step (s) the Jail authorities have taken to investigate the matter and identify the person mentioned in the Complaint, prior to appropriate disciplinary measures being imposed.

Dad has not heard back regarding a similar Complaint he sent to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, over the same issue.
